Taproom Bartender / Retail Store Attendant
We’re looking for motivated individuals to join our front-of-house team for the summer season. Do you like craft cider/wine/beer? Do you enjoy working with people and serving up a good time? We’d love to hear from you and chat more about the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
-
Providing friendly and responsible service within the taproom and patio
-
Assisting customers with retail purchases
-
Handling opening and closing procedures
-
Keeping the taproom area clean and stocked
-
Processing online orders
-
Assisting with special events, tastings and tours
-
Setting the vibe in the taproom - occasionally creating social media content, arranging table decor, curating playlists etc.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
-
Smart Serve certification
-
Solid communication and customer service skills
-
High attention to detail, proactive, motivated and professional
-
Fundamental cider/wine knowledge and an eagerness to learn
-
Valid driver’s license
-
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 25 kg
ABOUT THE POSITION:
-
15-30 hours per week
-
$17.00 per hour + tips
-
Flexible schedule, ability to work weekends required

Part-time, seasonal position with potential to evolve into full-time/permanent position

Opportunity to wear many hats and assist with all aspects of the cidery including production, packaging, sales and marketing
We’re looking for someone to join our cidery team to help out with production, packaging, deliveries and more. This is a part-time position that could evolve into a full-time role as we continue to grow. We’re pretty chill and think East Street is a great place to work and learn. We offer a flexible work schedule and other perks like product discounts and clothing allowance. No experience necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Working with the cidermaker, perform daily tasks including: blending, fermentations, filtrations, racking, blending, cleaning and sanitation according to in-house protocols
-
Cellar work (tank and parts cleaning, quality checks, nutrient management, etc.)
-
Packaging (canning, bottling, kegging, cleaning kegs)
-
Working with raw materials
-
Basic lab work (sampling, monitoring, quality control and assurance, etc.)
-
Filtration
-
Cleaning

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serving in the taproom and patio
-
Helping customers in the bottle shop
-
Processing online orders

QUALIFICATIONS/ KEY REQUIREMENTS:
-
This position requires physical effort which entails lifting and moving up to 30 kg
-
Able to work at heights/ on a ladder
-
Knowledge of beverage operations considered an asset
-
Smart Serve certification
-
Able to work independently and as part of a team
-
Desire to learn and take on various responsibilities over time
-
Able to multitask and carry out required tasks with minimal supervision
-
Good customer service and communication skills
